WINEMAKING GOAL
With the Irsai, the task was to turn the variety’s directness into a clean, playful entry-level wine rather than a loud, perfumed one.
BEHIND THE WINE
Mr. Irsay is Podmaniczky’s lighter side: it doesn’t try to act serious, but it wants to be just as well-made as the bigger wines.
