About Us
Podmaniczky Winery — where wine and hospitality feel at home
Our Story
Since 1962 — three
generations' legacy
József Podmaniczky planted the first vines on the hillside near Balatonföldvár in 1962. Those few rows have grown into a carefully tended 12-hectare estate.
His son, Péter Podmaniczky, modernised the winery in the early 1990s and developed it into one of the region’s leading estates. Since 2018, his grandson Áron Podmaniczky has led the winery, blending tradition with modern winemaking technology.
In 2022 we opened our accommodation — so that our guests can not only taste, but truly experience the Balaton Uplands winemaker lifestyle.
Our Values & Philosophy
Sustainability
We farm our vineyards using integrated pest management. Minimal chemical intervention, maximum natural balance.
Hospitality
Every visitor is a guest of the Podmaniczky family. Personal attention and genuine Balaton warmth on every occasion.
Quality
Quality, not quantity, is our guiding principle. We release a maximum of 18,000 bottles per year, each named and vintage-dated.
